Do the Holidays Wear You Out?

If you take on so much extra work over the holidays that you have no time to enjoy the festivities and you need all of January to recuperate, it’s time to call a halt.

Do you find yourself in charge of all the entertaining for the whole family? Do you cook dinner for
12 and get left with the clean-up? Do you do all the decorating, shopping, wrapping, and even gift-delivery yourself? If you do attend a gathering, do you spend hours preparing something special to contribute?

When a friend, family member, or your child’s teacher calls to say “Would you…” do you immediately say yes, and take on even more work?

If the answer is yes, it could very well be that you are a Centaury personality in a negative state. It’s in your makeup to want to help and to please others, but in the negative state you let it go too far.

Your positive desire turns into a negative as you become a slave to every whim except your own.
This year, do yourself a favor. Get over to Feel Bach! And get a bottle of Centaury. Then begin taking 4 drops, 3 times each day. Centaury will help you realign your energies and connect with the powers of your own will.

You’ll be able to choose which activities bring you pleasure and which do not – and you’ll be able to say no to those tasks which are simply “too much.”

Does this sound like I’m suggesting selfishness? I’m not. The fact is, when you begin to enjoy the holidays and the activities you choose to do, the people who love you will also benefit. You’ll be more available to them emotionally and you’ll be much more fun to be around.

This year, empower yourself to say no – and enjoy the holiday season from start to finish.

Facing the Holidays With the Grief of Loss

For many approaching this holiday season, there is no joy or cheer.

They’re suffering from grief over the loss of a loved one who
“should” be with them, and they’re stuck in the past and how life was when that loved one was there.

The loss could be through death, divorce, or a seemingly irreparable rift between siblings, friends, or parents and children. It could stem from the loss of a beloved pet as well as a beloved human.

Whatever the source of the loss, it left a gaping hole, and that hole has been filled with grief, loneliness, and despair.

Some sufferers retreat to live in the past, longing for what was and what could have been had the loss not occurred. Cheerful greetings of Happy Thanksgiving or Merry Christmas fall on deaf ears, or elicit a silent response of “There’s nothing to be thankful for,” or “Being merry is not an option when your life is over.”

They’re lonely, even if surrounded by friends, because those friends cannot take the place of the one who is missing.

People in this state need the Flower Essence Honeysuckle. This flower remedy helps sufferers look back at the past and preserve what was beautiful, without grieving for its loss. It also helps bring them back into the present where they can begin once more to appreciate what they still do have in their lives.

Water Violet is another flower remedy that can help people stop wallowing in their grief, come out of the shell, and begin to interact with others again.

Many who suffer are hit with a “double whammy.” They are experiencing their own sorrow and are also concerned for the feelings of others who share the loss. Their excessive care can actually be harmful and crippling for those whose suffering they would hope to alleviate.

Red Chestnut will help put their energies in balance, so they can be supportive in the shared grief, but not overpowering.

If you’ve suffered a great loss in recent months you may be unable to summon feelings of joy for the holidays. But with help from Flower Remedies from FeelBach! you can put your energies in alignment so you can at least enjoy pleasant memories of that person or pet who is no longer with you.

Are you too shy to succeed?

The business world is competitive, and those who stay in the shadows are destined to remain in lower-level positions, even while contributing greatly to other’s success.

There are times when it’s necessary to speak up and speak out. There are times when one must assert themselves and be both seen and heard.

But… it’s hard.

I speak from experience, because while I’ve always enjoyed talking with people one-on-one,
I was terrified to speak up in large gatherings. Years ago, when I became a real estate broker, I felt a need to attend City Council and P&Z meetings. Then, due to the behavior of our city leaders, I learned that I HAD to speak up, even though the idea was terrifying.

Dr. Bach’s flower essences helped, as did a trick I learned: Always sit in the front row so you don’t notice all the people behind you.

What causes shyness, and what flower remedies help you overcome it?

Shyness can come from fear or from lack of self-confidence, and the two are tied together. You fear being ridiculed because you don’t have the self-confidence to ignore what other people might think of you.

Have you ever felt that way? I certainly did.

To release fear, use Mimulus. To overcome lack of self-confidence turn to Larch.

In a negative Larch state, you may feel that you “can’t” speak up for yourself. You “can’t” give a presentation or meet with an important client. You’re simply too sure that you’ll make mistakes, or “make a fool of yourself.”

Thus, you’re apt to let others take the credit for your ideas or the work you’ve done. . When you do that long enough, you’ll need another of Dr. Bach’s remedies – Willow, to help you release the resentment that you yourself helped to cause.

Instead of staying in the shadows, visit Feel Bach! Today and get your own personal blend of flower remedies. Get your energies back in alignment, then go forth and create the success you know you deserve.
