Do the Holidays Wear You Out?

If you take on so much extra work over the holidays that you have no time to enjoy the festivities and you need all of January to recuperate, it’s time to call a halt.

Do you find yourself in charge of all the entertaining for the whole family? Do you cook dinner for
12 and get left with the clean-up? Do you do all the decorating, shopping, wrapping, and even gift-delivery yourself? If you do attend a gathering, do you spend hours preparing something special to contribute?

When a friend, family member, or your child’s teacher calls to say “Would you…” do you immediately say yes, and take on even more work?

If the answer is yes, it could very well be that you are a Centaury personality in a negative state. It’s in your makeup to want to help and to please others, but in the negative state you let it go too far.

Your positive desire turns into a negative as you become a slave to every whim except your own.
This year, do yourself a favor. Get over to Feel Bach! And get a bottle of Centaury. Then begin taking 4 drops, 3 times each day. Centaury will help you realign your energies and connect with the powers of your own will.

You’ll be able to choose which activities bring you pleasure and which do not – and you’ll be able to say no to those tasks which are simply “too much.”

Does this sound like I’m suggesting selfishness? I’m not. The fact is, when you begin to enjoy the holidays and the activities you choose to do, the people who love you will also benefit. You’ll be more available to them emotionally and you’ll be much more fun to be around.

This year, empower yourself to say no – and enjoy the holiday season from start to finish.

Holiday Joy – or Holiday Stress?

Some folks can hardly wait - they're excited over the shopping, the cooking, the gift wrapping, addressing cards, and most of all - getting together at holiday parties and huge family gatherings.

Others are visibly shrinking as the holidays approach - they're dreading the whole season and wishing they could just go hide somewhere until it's over.

Which are you?

If you’re so enthused over the holidays that you say "yes" to far too many requests, it may be time to prioritize. Which activities do you truly love, and which do you do because your participation is expected?

Dr. Bach’s Centaury can help you say "no" to those activities that are low on your list of enjoyment. Meanwhile, the flower essence Oak can allow you to take much-needed down time rather than work yourself into exhaustion.

If you're finding yourself among those who dread the holidays, now is the time to figure out why they bother you so much, and do something to adjust your energies. You deserve to enjoy this season just as much as anyone else!

If you spend too much money, then suffer for it for the next several months, it’s time to figure out why, and do something about it. Is it fear of feeling inferior if you don’t give the “best” gifts? Centaury can help. Is it because you forget about or ignore the realities of your budget once you’re caught in the holiday spirit? Clematis can help. Is it because you can’t decide on the best gifts, so keep on buying? Scleranthus can help.

If you spend the holidays afraid because friends and family are traveling, Aspen will help you combat unfounded worry over their travel.

If you've lost a loved one this year and feel bitterness and self-pity as the holidays approach, Willow will help you to enjoy life as it now is.

Visit FeelBach! to take our easy questionnaire. The FeelBach! experts will put together your personal blend based on your answers.

This year, enjoy the holiday season to its fullest, with help from FeelBach!

If the holiday season gives you more stress and sadness than joy, let Dr. Bach help!

While some people love the holiday season and enjoy every moment, others find it a season of nonstop stress.

For some it's simply the fact that there is SO much to do. Between shopping and wrapping, decorating, cooking, and attending parties, they feel completely overwhelmed. Those who have children in school get an extra dose – with school events and parties for kids. And of course, those who can't say "no" do come under a lot of stress at this time of year.

For others it's the stress of feeling "judged." They worry about getting the right gifts, having their homes look exactly right, and wearing the correct clothes to parties. Those who host the holiday dinners spend weeks worrying about how the food will turn out.

Another source of stress is change. Perhaps you moved away from your family this year – or someone who has always been a part of your holidays has moved away. Perhaps the dinner that was always at Grandma's house will now be served at Aunt Tillie's. Perhaps the dinner you always cooked will now be prepared by your new daughter-in-law.

Did one of these scenarios just describe you? If so, help can soon be on the way.

Fortunately, Dr. Bach created flower essences to help you get through the season with a feeling of enjoyment rather than dread.

If you need to adjust your energies to enable yourself to say "no," turn to Centaury.  You'll soon feel back in control of your own time.

The Feel5ive formula calms general stress – the kind that comes from simply having too many things to do. Take it 4 times each day during the season and stay calm and worry free. Maybe everything won't be done – or won't be done perfectly. You won't let it bother you.

If your insecurities cause you to feel inadequate – and feel that others are judging you for your shortcomings – turn to Centaury, Gentian, and Larch. If your biggest critic is YOU, because you set impossible standards for yourself, choose Rock Water.

If change is getting you down, use Walnut. This is the essence that helps us make transitions more easily.

If you dread the holidays but aren't quite sure why, come to FeelBach! and take the questionnaire. Our experts will soon choose the flower essence formula that will put you on the road to enjoying this season.

If you dread the Christmas season…

While some are eagerly shopping, baking and decorating, others are dreading every bit of it. "Bah-humbug" is their motto.

If that's you, why not turn it around - take control of the situation so you can enjoy the season.

First, determine what it is you dread. Sit down with yourself and really think about it. Then make changes.

If you take on too many projects, decide which ones you don't enjoy and drop them! Say no to anything that doesn't bring you joy.

If money is the problem, remember that the season is about good will – you don't HAVE to spend a lot of money to spread that around. So don't over extend. Give gifts of your time and attention instead.

If you're going to face people who always bring you down, stop and feel sorry for them. The reason they're bringing you down is that they aren't so happy themselves. Then either decide not to spend time with them, determine to ignore them, or get bold and call them at their game.

If you're lonely, look around you. Someone else is lonely too, so reach out.

Meanwhile, do some things to lift your own spirits. Get outside and take a brisk walk - the exercise is energizing and clears your head. Turn on music you love and sing along at the top of your lungs. Even better, get up and dance while you sing - you'll be amazed at how good that feels.

Schedule time with a favorite friend for shopping and lunch. Set aside some one-on-one time with kids, parents, spouse, or anyone else who is important to you.

Sit down and make a list of things you're thankful for. Taking time to give thanks each day gives you a better attitude and helps kick the Law of Attraction into action to bring more of those good things into your life. Decide now to turn your focus to the good things in your life.

If your self-examination revealed some emotional issues you need to deal with, go to Feel Bach! and take the questionnaire. Then get the Bach flower essences blend that's indicated and remember to take it.

You deserve to feel good - and to enjoy the Holiday Season just as much as anyone else. It's not selfish - because the better you feel, the better the people who love you will feel.

So get busy - do something for you today.
