Winter depression is no joke. Dr. Bach's essences can help.

February can be a depressing time, even for those not given to depression the rest of the year. It's a time in between the holiday season and Spring, when nothing interesting seems to be going on.

And for those in the northern states, it can feel like the dark, grey days will never be replaced by
sunshine.

Humans need sunlight, and lack of it can cause the most cheerful person to feel gloomy. That's why some companies sell fixtures with special light bulbs to simulate sunlight.

For those who continually suffer from mild to severe depression, this season is even more trying.
Thankfully, Dr. Bach developed the flower essences Wild Rose and Gorse to lift us out of depression – whether it is seasonal or chronic.

Gorse is the remedy for those who still have some hope, but feel on the verge of giving up. Some use it to get past a temporary setback or a seasonal depression and don't need to continue once they're past the crisis.

Wild Rose is for those who feel like there's no use in trying. For some, use of Wild Rose must be ongoing, especially when they are trying to get at the root of the problem through psychotherapy or self-examination.

In both cases, the flower essences help to re-set the sufferer's energy flow and allow joy into his or her life.

In some cases, it's advisable for family members to use Wild Rose or Gorse along with the sufferer, because like the common cold, depression can be contagious. Prolonged exposure to a person who feels no joy or enthusiasm for life is not just boring and frustrating. It can bring others down – especially loved ones.

If you're suffering from depression, you owe to both yourself and your loved ones to lift yourself out. Use the power of positive thought, use the Law of Attraction, use simulated sunlight, or use psychotherapy – and let Dr. Bach's Wild Rose and Gorse flower essences help you succeed.

Is Depression Stealing Your Life?

Depression seems at almost epidemic proportions today. Thousands are going through life in a state of resigned apathy – while those who want to get over it are taking anti-depressant pharmaceuticals that can cause yet other ailments.

The friends and family of these depressed individuals suffer as well. They do all in their power to cheer up their loved one and try to get him or her interested in life, but to no avail. And, while they may care very deeply for that person, they really don't enjoy being around them, so eventually drift away. Of course, that makes them feel guilty, so it's a vicious circle.

It doesn't have to be that way. Three of Dr. Bach's flower essences can help, especially when used in combination with a desire to feel better.

Wild Rose is the flower essence that combats the mental state of having given up. It is often a long term remedy used to alleviate a long-term energy imbalance – one that may have begun in childhood. It's also used to combat temporary depression following an event such as a miscarriage.

Wild Rose is effective treatment for those who have no hope – for whom life has no promise of better things to come.

Gorse helps the individual who did have hopes, but feels that those hopes must now be buried. The person suffering from a Gorse imbalance hopes for something outside himself to come along and make it better – and refuses to follow his inner voice because he's given up inside. At the same time, he doesn't believe that anything can help.

Chestnut Bud is for those who feel that they are at the limit of their endurance. They haven't yet given up, but aren't sure how much longer they can hold on.

Don't settle for a life of depression and despair - Visit FeelBach! today and begin letting Dr. Bach's flower remedies help you get your life back on track.

Shed the Worry – Don't Let World Events Make You Sick

Every time you turn on the TV, check your email, or read a newspaper there's more bad news.

From the decisions being made in Washington D.C. to events around the world, there's worry over politics. And then there's crime, job losses, the escalating national debt – and it goes on and on.

But can you change it by worrying? No.

You can help change a few things at home by voting. You can help ease some suffering in your own community by becoming a volunteer. You can add to prosperity in the world by working, and teaching your children that work is a good and honorable pursuit.

You can help protect yourself and your loved ones by using good sense. Follow a sensible diet, drive safely, avoid walking on dark streets, etc.

But you can't change world events or save people from their own destructive behavior. All you can do by living in fear is make yourself sick – and make your loved ones miserable.

So stop taking the world on your shoulders. Let go of the fear of what might happen.

Several of Dr. Bach's essences are here to help you.

  • Aspen treats pathological worry.
  • Cherry Plum dissipates fear and the sense of losing control.
  • Mimulus treats all types of fears and instills courage.
  • Gorse and SweetChestnut give us confidence to face life with hope and positive feelings.
  • Mustard fights depression.
  • Red Chestnut dissipates fear of illness.

This is your life. Live it to the fullest by banishing the fears that tarnish your days.

Does winter weather make you feel depressed?

For some, light therapy works to ease that heavy burden, but for others, it's a chronic energy imbalance that is made worse by the feelings of hopelessness that winter weather brings.

But of course there is - you simply need to lift yourself up. Not an easy task on your own, but with the help of Bach Flower Essences it becomes do-able. The essences work to re-balance your energies, giving you back hope and enthusiasm for life.

Try a blend of Wild Rose, Gorse, and Sweet Chestnut. Give yourself the gift of feeling good again - so you can not only enjoy the rest of winter, but the friendlier seasons to come.
