Overcome the post-holiday let-down with Dr. Bach's Flower Remedies

Feeling let-down after Christmas is pretty normal. When you've spent weeks preparing for the big event and looking forward to seeing far-away family, having it suddenly be over leaves a big hole.

Plus, you may be feeling a bit lonely if loved ones have been here and now they're gone again.

Feel5ive just to help me get back on track. Then I make myself get busy with house cleaning, catching up on projects, and setting some goals for the coming year.

All that takes some focus and concentration, which means I don't have time to feel sorry that I can't keep my kids at home for the rest of their lives.

If your feelings are a little more extreme - as in true distress because you can't be with them and assuring yourself of their safety at all times - you might want to try the Bach Flower Essence Chicory.

First read about how Chicory can help you, then go to Feel Bach! to place your order.

Do you insist that people prove their love to you?

Do you push your children, spouse, siblings, parents, and even friends to pay more attention to you – and make them feel guilty if they want to do anything that doesn't include you?  If so, you may be suffering from a terrible feeling – that of being unloved and unwanted.

To make yourself feel better, you try to make everyone around you prove that they love you by spending time with you, or by doing favors, tasks, and errands for you.

Do you insist that your grown children spend every holiday with you – even though there's another set of parents who also want to see them?

Do you force your spouse to go along with your favorite leisure activities, even though he or she would enjoy doing something else?

And is it never enough to relieve your doubts?

Your logic tells you that they wouldn't be going along with your dictates if they didn't love you. But then the other side says that they're only doing it to avoid feeling guilty. And the truth is, the more you continue with this behavior, the more that might be true.

So stop it.

You're in a negative Chicory state, and you need to get out. Treat your condition with the Bach Flower Essence Chicory, and start feeling better.

Chicory will allow you to love and appreciate yourself, and to accept and appreciate the love you receive from others, rather than doubting it.

Once you let go of your insecurities, the people you love will enjoy your company more – and will WANT to spend more time with you. It's a win-win!

The "Needy Mother" Does Need Help

Jokes are made about the “Needy Mother” and her ongoing manipulations, but what she is enduring is really no laughing matter.

The Needy Mother is a person in the negative Chicory state, and while she appears to be getting everything she wants from the people she manipulates, she is not happy.

In fact, in spite of her family’s continual efforts to please her, she feels unloved, and empty. Her possessiveness and her demands are her way of trying to reassure herself that she is loved – even while she believes that it isn’t true.

The needy mother’s children, spouse, and friends suffer with her. They can never do enough to please and reassure, because she needs more and more demonstrations of their love. Do you know grown children whose spouses and families must meet grandma’s demands before considering their own wants and needs?

One thing to note: In spite of the nickname, the needy mother is not always female, he or she is simply a Chicory personality in a negative state.

Often Chicory personalities endured a childhood in which they either were or felt that they were unloved. As a consequence they are really unable to give love – even while “doing for” those they love in an attempt to show how much they care and to receive the love they crave.

Chicory people have the capacity for great love – once energy realignment allows them to connect with their souls. Then, they are able to lavish the same care and affection on their families – but without the demands and expectations of the negative Chicory state.

Conquering The Holiday Let-Down

Do you feel a little let-down when Christmas is over and company goes home?

That's pretty normal, after you've spent weeks preparing for the big event and looking forward to seeing far-away family. Preparations may have dominated most of your free time lately, and now you're left with a "hole" in your schedule. And you may be feeling a bit lonely if loved ones have been here and now they're gone again.

So what to do? Personally, I take a little Feel5ive just to help me get back on track. Then I make myself busy with cleaning the house - because company always makes a bit of a mess.

Next, I get back to work. In addition to doing what must be done in the week between Christmas and the New Year, I take my "spare time" and set some goals for the coming year. Then I try to put them into a time schedule and write down some suggestions to myself about how I will accomplish them.

Planning for next year takes some focus and concentration, which means I don't have time to feel sorry that I can't keep my kids at home for the rest of their lives.

If your feelings are a little more extreme - as in true distress because you can't be with them and assuring yourself of their safety at all times - you might want to try the Bach Flower Essence Chicory.
