Have you ever tried to train a young dog who is simply too "busy" to pay attention - or to settle down and be quiet when you're on the phone?
That's what we've been doing. He's ten months old and an absolute sweetheart, but he's into everything. His latest adventure is finding books to chew up. (And he has the teeth to do a fine job of it.)
He's also started being as obnoxious as a human 3 year old when I'm on the phone. He wants my attention, and he's determined to have it.
I've been taking him outside to play and play and play - hoping to make him tired enough to settle down, but he has more energy than I do!
So a couple of days ago I hit on an idea, and it seems to be working.
I've been putting the Attention Deficit formula in his water dish, and he really is calming down. He's still a bit naughty, but he's listening better, and he's only been on the formula for two days.
And this afternoon he let me carry on a phone conversation without pestering me even once.
Perhaps Feel Bach! should offer a pet formula for calming over-active dogs. In the meantime, if you've got a puppy like mine, try Attention Deficit.
